What would be the cost to install 160 sq feet of lattice to be put around deck, deck 3 1/2 feet off ground?
Our goal is to display a wide choice of handymen in your area. Select your location from the list of states covered by our directory. The handyman businesses listed in the directory are not screened for quality or reliability so please choose responsibly. Never pay a large deposit to start the work. The legal limit in many areas is $1000 or 10% of the work to be done, whichever is less. Make final payment only after the job has been completed to your satisfaction. It is always a good idea to get multiple estimates and only work with businesses and individuals that you trust. AskTheHandyman.net makes no representations of warranties as to, and is not responsible for, the performance acts or omissions of such parties. It is the ultimate responsibility of the property owner to select a company, individual or contractor based on their individual assessment of such company, individual or contractor. See our full terms of use here and here is a full discussion about How to Screen a Handyman.

Handyman Job Pricing and Estimates
Without more information it’s pretty near impossible to come up with anything but a wild guess on the pricing. Will posts need to be installed to support the lattice? Will they be attached to the deck or dug into the ground? Do you have a picture of the deck available?
attach to deck, already enough post to attach to. maybe 1- 3ft treated 2×4 to attach 2 pieces of lattice, rest is easy.
It sounds like it would be about a 1/2 day job. Depending on the hourly rate that the handyman charges you should expect to pay anywhere from $150 – $250 for labor. Materials would be extra. Hope this is of some help.
Patio deck of 3/4″ 4×8 plywood sheets. built already. Need cost on 2×4 frames of 4ft wide x 7ft tall boxed in and attached for about 6 sections. Then the frames will be empty at the last 3-4 boxed squares (above and lattice except just the lower square frames about 3’ft x 4’ft wide), side by side like all the others (like a large lattice wall 4’x 7′) bottom of 2×4 frame will be attached to the decking (wide sides out) the upper frames attached to the over hang ceiling in corrugated sheet metal at a slight angle. So a wall about 30+ ft long resting (screwed) to the top of the edge od the deck x 7’ft tall. Each section will be about 4’x 7′ in two pieces (top and bottom) screwed together at the sides. The last 3-4 sections will not have top lattice sections attached so just 4′ x7′ but lattice on bottom only. If you email me I will send you my best of a set of diagrams and/or plans to help understand. Plastic (lrg hole) lattice cheapest but straightest 2’x4’x’8 untreated 2 bys. Sorry I’m not better at this kind of thing. I assure you it would be simple yet time consuming. I’ll let you fill in the blanks. Thanks for your time and efforts’.
